Saul A. Fox
Chief Executive

Saul Fox was reared and educated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, attending Temple University (B.S., Communications, Summa Cum Laude, President's Scholar, 1975) as well as the University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D., Cum Laude, 1978).

After graduating law school in 1978, Mr. Fox joined Latham & Watkins, a leading international law firm, in their Los Angeles headquarters. There Mr. Fox built a national legal practice structuring complex business transactions, as well as participating in Latham & Watkins' management and administration.

In 1984, Mr. Fox joined Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR), the pioneering private equity firm. At KKR, Mr. Fox identified, evaluated, structured and negotiated a broad array of acquisition and merger transactions, as well as arranged over $3.0 billion of public and private financings for these transactions. Mr. Fox was the KKR partner responsible for three of the firm's exceptionally successful transactions: (i) American Reinsurance, the largest and most remunerative insurance company management buyout to date, (ii) Canadian General, KKR's first international (non-U.S.) acquisition and the first significant leveraged acquisition of an insurance company in Canada, and (iii) Motel 6, at the time the largest U.S. budget lodging/operating company.

In 1997, Mr. Fox founded Fox Paine & Company, LLC, a private investment firm. Fox Paine deploys investment capital where it concludes (based on the firm's specific industry expertise, rigorous due diligence and analytic processes) that Fox Paine's association will significantly enhance value by enabling a company to achieve agreed upon long-term strategic objectives.


Seth J. Gersch
Chief Operating Officer

Seth Gersch was raised in Brooklyn, New York. He is a graduate of Pace University. After graduation, Mr. Gersch joined the New York Stock Exchange and shortly thereafter joined the member firm of Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. In 1978, Mr. Gersch joined Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. where he was co-head of the Individual Investor Services Department.

In 1983, Mr. Gersch joined Banc of America Securities' predecessor organization, Montgomery Securities, as a General Partner and later served as a Managing Director where he was responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operating functions of Montgomery until 1995. In 1995 Mr. Gersch founded the BrokerDealer Services Division of Banc of America Securities where he served as President and CEO. This division provided outsourced services to a select group of securities firms located throughout the United States. In particular it served as mechanism to foster partnerships with these firms for investment banking collaboration.

In 2004, Mr. Gersch joined ThinkEquity Partners, LLC as its Chief Operating Officer and member of its Executive Committee.

In 2007 Mr. Gersch joined Fox Paine & Company, LLC where he currently serves as the firms Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Gersch has served as a member of the Regional Firms Advisory Committee to the Board of Directors of the New York Stock Exchange and on the Securities Industry Association's Regional Firms Committee and Operations Committee.

Mr. Gersch is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco 49ers Foundation, the charitable arm of the San Francisco 49ers football organization. He previously served as Chairman of Board and President of the Peninsula Jewish Community Center, Member of the Steering Committee of the Society of Families at Colgate University, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Contemporary Jewish Museum of San Francisco, Member of the Menlo School Advisory Board and an Executive Board member of the Hillsborough Schools Foundation.


Christy A. Rempel
Corporate Controller

Ms. Rempel grew up in Calgary, Canada and is a graduate of The University of Calgary (B. Commerce, Accounting, 1999). After graduating from university, Ms. Rempel began her professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Calgary. In 2000 she joined its Venture Capital Group in San Jose, California, where she worked with prominent venture capital and private equity clients.

In 2002, Ms. Rempel left PwC to join Digital Impact (DI), an integrated digital marketing firm. During her two years with DI she worked as the Accounting Manager; in addition to managing financial operations her work included Sarbanes Oxley compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

In 2005, Ms. Rempel joined Fox Paine as its Corporate Controller.

Ms. Rempel is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
