ACS ANNOUNCES NEW CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS ORGANIZATION
ANCHORAGE, Alaska, July 11, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) - Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. ("ACS") (NASDAQ: ALSK), Alaska's leading integrated communications provider, today announced the appointment of Melinda Taylor and Meghan Stapleton as its Directors of Corporate Communications. Together they will oversee the full range of communications functions including media relations, community relations and serving as spokespersons for ACS. Melinda also served on the Anchorage Municipal Assembly, the governing body for Alaska's largest city, from 1998-2004.
